Spring has sprung and all things are focused on getting my flower garden ready, and displaying plants throughout the house.  So, I set out on a mission to find "things" to plant in.  We all know that you don't have to use JUST flower pots to plant in.

The thrift store was packed with people.  I was hoping that everyone would be outside enjoying the nice weather, instead of shopping.  Guess they had the same idea that I had.   I ran into a lady (literally with my cart) that had been shopping since 8am in this one store. It was 2:30pm, so you can do the math. Her shopping cart was overflowing, with mostly clothes.   After apologizing to her, we struck up a conversation about our love for "junkin".  She shared with me the names of a few stores that I haven't hit yet.  Yes, I will be looking for them soon!

The two wooden things, in the pictures below, were very interesting to me.  I couldn't figure out what purpose they served.  On the bottom of them, there were tiny hangers, as if you could hang cups on them.  If anyone knows what they are, I would love to know.  I removed the hangers, so they would sit flat on the table.  A couple of succulents and...taaa daaa...they are now flower pots.

The next picture is actually candle holders. (I think)  Their vibrant colors caught my eye and I held them, put them back on the shelf, held them again, and decided that they were just to "cute" to give up.  In my shopping cart they go.  I must have looked at them 20 times before I truly decided to buy them.  Really glad I bought them....they are bright and cheerful sitting on my breakfast table.  (the picture doesn't really show how bright they are)

I was, at one point, crawling on my knees looking on the bottom shelf.  Really glad I did because I found the next flower pot pushed to the back.  It screamed to me; "Buy me"     "SOLD", I screamed back!    I have this one sitting on my table on the deck.  I love the rustic look.

All in all, my hunt was successful.  I did happen to find a few more things that had absolutely nothing to do with "flowers".  Those will be posted on the next blog.
